Sai Songpeng said that the successful practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics fully reflects the strategic vision and governance capabilities of the Communist Party of China. Laos and China's relations are at the best period in history. Laos firmly supports the "Belt and Road" initiative, and is willing to deepen the exchange of experience in governing the party and the country with China, strengthen all-round mutually beneficial cooperation, and believe that Laos and China's community of shared destiny will continue to flourish.

When meeting with Tonglun and Barney, Wang Yang said that China-Laos relations have both a solid political foundation and complementary economic advantages. China appreciates the policy and legal support provided by the Lao Government and the Congress to promote cooperation between the two countries. The two sides should work hard to implement the consensus reached by leaders of the two parties and the two countries, ensure the completion of the China-Laos Railway on schedule, promote more assistance projects for the elderly to the people's livelihood field, and consolidate the basis of the friendship between China and Laos. Lao Fang said that the great achievements of New China in the past 70 years have fully proved to the world the superiority of the socialist system. Laos appreciates China's active role in international and regional affairs, supports China's measures to maintain core interests and national security, and welcomes Chinese companies to invest in Laos and Chinese tourists to Lao and would like to provide more convenience.

During the visit, Wang Yang also met with Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Governor Kan Kang, inspected the construction of the railway between China and Laos, attended the forum of overseas Chinese representatives in Laos and related activities of the China-Laos Tourism Year, and presented the former Lao President A bronze statue of Kaishan Fengweihan presented a flower basket.
